Lets start off by saying this is a MUST read of 2012 and thats the truth! I want to thank Gina for letting me experience the wonderful journey this book took me on and a huge thanks for writing it for us as well! The story of Anna was so different from most books I have read and I have to say it was remarkable! How cool yet scary it must have been for her to be able to astrally project form herself while she slept. The places she is able to visit, how exciting that must have been. Yet the only4.5 StarsFirst of all, I want to say thank you to Gina Rosati for sending me this amazing ARC and all the swag as well. I got bookmarks and buttons. Seriously I love it!Next I want to say, the cover....it's so beautiful. I mean wow, from far away it's amazing but when I got it in the mail and I had it in my hands, I was floored!! This was definitely different. I have not actually read a book like this before so I found it very refreshing and enjoyable. Anna has been best friends with Rei for as long as she can remember. He's a neighbour who's been a huge part of her life and she wouldn't know where she would be without him- he's her rock. Seth is Rei's guy best friend. They make the trio. I had forgotten the synopsis of this book when I first started reading so I didn't really remember what I was getting myself into. The idea that Anna (she has my name!!!!) can astrally project is so cool and so original I was just sucked into the story from the very beginning. In a world that's so overly dominated by vampires and dystopians, the ideas behind Auracle were so refreshing and well thought out.
Anna has the gift of astral projection she can slip out of her body and go anywhere she wants, from checking out a volcano in Hawaii to zooming through space to watch supernova up close. Alls fun and games until Anna vacates her body to check on a friend and someone else jumps into it. Left as mere energy with no physical form, its up to Anna and her best friend Rei to prove their friend innocent of murder, deal with their feelings for each other, and kick out the serious Mean Girl thats taken
