I picked this up thinking it was the very last Redwall book I'd ever get to read for the first time, then felt rather silly to see that the title list in the front included one I'd apparently missed, the penultimate one published, Doomwyte. So that'll go on my to-read list.I quite enjoyed this. To some extent, I think it was just the right time for a highly escapist read, and the Redwall books definitely are that. Though I didn't like this one as much as others in the series, it's still very much worth a read-through. The villain was one of the few female villains, and that always helps mix things up a little, but over all this one wasn't particularly memorable for me.

Twenty-one books in to the Redwall saga, Brian Jacques still manages a surprise or two for seasoned devotees of the series. Well read slightly out of order it didn't change much and in fact had a lot of similarity to The Rogue Crew in who the main character was and what happened. A fine read.

Not bad, I'm fairly certain. The plot had some interesting points and the amount of enjoyment was great, as is typical of books about Redwall.

A Redwall fan at heart, this is the second time I have read The Sable Quean. And, while this series is predictable, it is a comforting predictable that soothes a soul and removes, for a time, the harsh realties of our everyday life. It is a series that reminds us that there is still good in this world, that honesty and bravery mean something, even in our darkest hours.

In this review I will be writing about the last book I read which was Sable Quean. I really liked this book. This so far has been one of my favorite books I have ever read. I think that the book was intended for young adults. Because it is to easy for adults and to hard for the smaller kids. The main problem in this book to me was to get back the babies and to protect redwall abbey. The setting to me is perfect. I believe that there is no other place that you could do the story at.
